Deinonychus Editions is committed to publishing works of human artistry and singular authorial voice. We draw a clear ethical distinction between using AI as an editing tool and using it as a replacement for creation.

Prohibited Use (Content Generation):
No part of the core narrative, original prose, plot progression, character dialogue, or unique conceptual ideas may be generated, written, or created by Artificial Intelligence. The creative vision must be entirely human.
We permit and encourage the following uses of AI to enhance the final product:
Permitted Use (Utility):
Authors may use AI/LLMs solely for utility and refinement purposes, including:
-
Brainstorming: As a sounding board for developing themes, ideas, or structural arguments.
-
Proofreading & Grammar: Final checks for spelling, syntax, and typographical errors.
-
Formatting: Assisting with technical elements, such as generating specialised formats that are conducive to the story, metadata, organizing the table of contents, or preparing file formats.
Deinonychus Editions publishes human voices and human stories. The ultimate creative control, moral accountability, and intellectual property remain solely with the author.
